Black Hat SEO – Can it really work?

A few days ago I wrote a guest post about black hat SEO techniques and I received a comment from David who was claiming the it works.

David said:

If only Google was as good as you suggest at identifying the doorway pages. In the industry sector I work in there are sites with 500+ doorway pages still ranking high. The highest example has over 30,000 long-tail search doorway pages many of which rank high. For some searches 8 out of the top 10 can be doorway pages of those who have gone over to the dark side.
Doing the right thing is the right thing to do. But the blackhat may still rank higher than you.

In a way Dave was right. For a few months maybe such a technique can work, but what about the long run?

Don’t forget that last month Google de-idexed 1,5 million sites and with the upcoming update more will come next and much more will see their rank decreasing.

So, let’s make the right moves and be sute that our site will be indexed and high in SERPs for a long long time.

Below, I include a video that might help you understand what techniques you should avoid.

  1. Black hat tactics might work for the short term, but it’s risky. As we’ve seen the last year- Google is making more of an effort to penalize sites that aren’t following the rules. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

  2. That is really fascinating, You are a very skilled blogger. I’ve joined your rss feed and stay up for in the hunt for extra of your great post. Additionally, I have shared your web site in my social networks
